Minimum standards – Scope out - KBCN1681

Any BREEAM Infrastructure criteria agreed for ‘scope out’ within an assessment are removed from the assessment in their entirety. This applies to criteria marked as a ‘minimum standard’. When seeking to achieve an Outstanding rating, where one or more of the ‘minimum standard’ criteria are scoped out, these no longer contribute to achieving an Outstanding rating. For example, if criterion 7.2.2 is agreed for ‘scope out’, the minimum standard will be based on achieving a score greater than 90% and meeting criteria 2.1.2, 2.1.3, 4.4.1 and 7.4.2.

Norwegian Approved Standards List (ASL) – BREEAM Infrastructure - KBCN1774

The Approved Standards List for Norway is a record of all local codes and standards that BRE Global has approved to date for the BREEAM Infrastructure scheme. The list is periodically updated to reflect recent approvals or withdrawals. Local best practice codes and standards can be submitted to BRE Global to substitute for the standards described in the criteria in the scheme Technical Manuals. Provided that such standards are equivalent to the BREEAM specified standards. Please see the ASL Norway document within the BREEAM Infrastructure documents folder on BREEAM Projects, which contains the Norwegian national best practice standards and/or tool reference and the relevant BREEAM Infrastructure criteria: BREEAM Projects - Other BREEAM Infrastructure Documents The standards listed within this document are approved by BRE and are considered a suitable counterpart to the UK/International best practice standard, tool or scheme listed in the BREEAM Infrastructure V6 International Projects or Term Contracts technical manual. The Norwegian standards, tools and schemes listed can be evidenced, referenced or used in place of those identified. Norwegian ASL version The version of the ASL that is current at the time of registration is the one that is used for assessment. Newer versions released after this can also be used, however older versions before the registration date cannot be used. For example: if the version current at registration was v3.0, then v4.0 (or any later versions) can be used, but v2.0 (or any earlier versions) cannot be used. Standard versions and proposing new standards Where a standard has been updated, it is not automatically added to the ASL template as the scope of the standard may have changed. If you wish to propose a new standard which you think is more relevant, or if an existing local standard has been replaced or updated, please contact BREEAM Infrastructure ([email protected]). This information will then be shared with Grønn Byggallianse (Norwegian Green Building Council), the NSO for Norway, and the standard reviewed for applicability.
