The Emissions from construction products criteria in BREEAM are intended to apply to newly manufactured construction products and materials.
Where a construction product can be robustly identified as previously used and is re-used or reclaimed, it may be considered as outside the scope of the Emissions from construction products criteria.
However, any new coatings, finishes, adhesives, sealants, or other chemical treatments applied for the product’s installation must be considered and assessed separately, where relevant.
