Shell only – Alternative route to meeting the Minimum Standard for BREEAM Excellent

The Minimum Standard requirement can be met where it is demonstrated that the fabric performance has been optimised, i.e. where a change in the value of any of the fabric parameters in either direction would lead to either an increase in the total heating and cooling demand, or to no further improvement.

When following this route, the number of credits awarded for Ene 01 Energy Performance must still be based on the building’s energy modelling results.
