Compliance Note 15 incorrectly suggests that compliance for the ‘Adaptability – Potential for Natural Ventilation’ credit is met by default if a retail building does not include office areas.
If a retail or industrial building does not include office areas, the credit is not applicable, and the filtering question in BREEAM Projects should be answered accordingly to filter it out.
Note: The requirements apply to permanently or semi-permanently occupied offices, however small admin areas which are only used occasionally can be excluded.
