To clarify the intent, criteria 4 and 5 should be read as a single criterion, as follows:
4. Monitor a significant majority of the energy supply using:
4.1 An accessible energy monitoring and management system
OR
4.2 Separate accessible energy sub-meters with pulsed or other open protocol communication outputs for future connection to an energy monitoring and management system
for:
a. each tenancy area – in multi-tenanted assets
OR
b. relevant function areas or departments – in single occupancy assets
OR
c. each floorplate – in large single occupancy or single-tenancy assets with one homogeneous function, such as hotel bedrooms or offices
