The BREEAM New Construction V7.1 update is a targeted evolution of BREEAM New Construction V7. It combines a small number of substantive rewrites in key areas with a number of refinements. These changes reflect our strategic objectives to improve clarity, usability, and technical robustness, while maintaining continuity and alignment across our BREEAM Version 7 schemes.
This minor update ensures the New Construction standard evolves meaningfully and in alignment with the RFO Version 7 scheme, without introducing unnecessary complexity or change burden. This supports continuity for users while incrementally improving performance, clarity, and alignment with industry best practice.
