It is a requirement to complete an LCA model for the entire asset, including all elements and sub-elements listed within the In-scope tables (where present), even where a benchmark comparison is not applicable. Please refer to Checklists and tables – Scope of assessment.
This approach ensures consistency between assessments and enables the project team to identify which building elements have the greatest environmental impact in terms of embodied carbon emissions, allowing them to target options for appraisal effectively.
